This position resides within the Manufacturing Engineering Services Team.

The group's primary responsibilities are to support the Manufacturing Engineering Team, providing primary support for work instruction creation, MES project creation, change management and technical writing.

This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate review and implementation of engineering content within our manufacturing systems.

Attention to detail, ability to work with others and a broad manufacturing process knowledge are key assets for this role.

This role will be required to train or support others as needed.

What the job is all about:

  • Working in our Product life Cycle Management (PLM) resource to manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Working with our data within our manufacturing systems, ensuring data integrity as data is transposed within systems
  • Maintain phase in and out dates
  • Purchase parts Data Sheet (PPDS) process completion of manufacturing responsibility
  • Process orders via our ERP resource
  • Create efficiencies within the ERP workflow

Who you are:


  • Postsecondary education in administration or equivalent work experience in document control.
  • Advanced skill level with standard office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Able to work with several complex tasks, multitasking
  • Supporting and mentoring others within the team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of conversing with technical and nontechnical staff
  • Wellorganized, persistent, attentive to details
  • Exceptional English written and verbal
  • 3 5 years' experience in office administration and/or data entry preference within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing work instructions and procedures is preferred.
  • Previous demonstrated documentation or change management experience
  • Experience working with PLM, MRP or ERP system is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and data integrity
  • Ability to take actions based on the company's best interests

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Work with various stakeholder across several functional areas as well as interact with all levels of management.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle if required to travel to Ottawa for meetings
