Job Description:
Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and repairs on all mechanical and
electrical systems. For deficiencies identified during PM inspections, collaborates with
managers if additional resources are required. Shall maintain a spare parts inventory for
all equipment related to the above-mentioned systems. Shall maintain comprehensive
records related to PM inspections, repairs completed, and equipment life cycles.
- Responsible for PM inspections and carrying out repairs to all equipment, related to
heating water systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and the HVAC systems
- To respond to guest requests as required from Royal Service to carry out repairs and
toilets, bathtubs & sinks, changing light bulbs, a/c units, TV, remote controls,
windows, furniture, switches, receptacles etc.
- Responsible for identifying and inventorying all spare parts required to maintain all the
- Responsible for maintaining accurate, comprehensive PM documentation for HVAC,
- Responsible for maintaining all work areas, mechanical and electrical rooms in a
- Shall work in compliance with codes and Ontario's Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Will work weekends, holidays, and shift work as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Certified Tradesman as per the terms of the Apprenticeship and Tradesmen
- Five (5) years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and ability to repair the HVAC, mechanical and electrical equipment
- WHMIS & OHSA
- Excellent guest service and be able to communicate in the English language
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
