Hardware Quality assurance specialist


The Quality Assurance Group develops and maintains a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance of customer deliverables and promotes continuous improvement.

Your role will be to ensure quality standards are met, corporate standards are maintained and product integrity is maintained on hardware.

Main responsibilities

  • As a material quality assurance specialist, you will be responsible for the entire compliance and efficiency of the manufacturing process (incoming product inspection, final inspection, complete manufacturing cycle including product and process validations associates)
    Carry out the full cycle of the audit process plan an audit, perform an audit, report/communicate results and issue corrective actions if necessary. The types of audit mainly concern internal processes (manufacturing, regulations, internal policies) as well as external/supplier processes (QMS, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection). Ensure product conformance to design requirements based on a quality plan develop inspection and testing standards, establish checkpoints, oversee the inspection process, address nonconformities through through resolution plans.
    Ensure maintenance of manufacturing requirements review, assign responsibility and determine material disposition of a nonconformity; conduct investigations to determine root causes and necessary corrective actions for hardware issues; update/expand the standards used to accept/reject coins; establishment of quality clinics. Lead MRB (Material Review) meetings and provide necessary recommendations.
    Execution of quality audit in the Production area. Validation and verification of manufacturing processes as well as qualification techniques
    Deployment of measures in production to generate continuous improvement projects Identify opportunities for improvement analyze data to find recurring problems using problem solving tools (Ishikawa/Pareto/control charts, etc ); organize product/process improvement sessions.

Requirements:


  • DEC. in mechanics or electrical (or technical training with equivalent experience)
    5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in internal and external audit (supplier) required
    Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and its quality management principles. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products (welding, plating, painting, machining, sheet metal, mechanical/electrical assembly, PCB assembly, cable assembly)
    Bilingual (French and English)

Fixed term contract


Pay:
$16.04-$40.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • St Laurent, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Manufacturing Environment: 5 years (preferred)

  • PCB: 5 years (preferred)
  • IPC standard: 5 years (preferred)
