- Fulfill requirements of apprenticeship contract as per the Ministry of Education and Training guidelines
- Complete tasks and assignments within the trade under the direction of a journeyperson or independently
- Complete theoretical training as per government regulation and pass required exams
- Utilize the accepted principles of machine shop safety
- Interpret and use trade-related reference charts and tables
- Calculate geometrical values necessary in the trade
- Read and use mechanical components and assembly prints
- Select, use, and maintain trade related hand and bench tools, measuring instruments, and devices
- Apply the principles of metal cutting to work pieces and cutting tools
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes, and CNC mills What you need to succeed:

The successful candidate will register in the General Machinist Apprenticeship Program at St. Clair College beginning September 2024, pending application processing and course availability.
