Job Description:


A day in the life
The Manager of People and Operations spends their days making sure our teams have everything they need to succeed.

You will work onsite, across various locations within the region, to support our teams in delivering high quality and impactful employment services for jobseekers and employers.


This includes:

  • Change management expertise:_ we're going through some big changes in how we deliver services. Your role is to develop approaches and plans that ensure we are all on a productive and successful journey towards our new model. It will be your job to keep a pulse on how our teams are adapting to the changes, identify any resources needed to support them, and adjust our change path as needed.
  • People and culture management_: We assist the full spectrum of individuals seeking employment from recent graduates to vulnerable populations across our communities providing them with customized solutions to improve their lives. Your role will focus on supporting the Service Delivery Managers and Community Engagement Managers in succeeding in their roles through collaborative leadership approaches and regular performance management meetings. As a people manager, you will work with your fellow leadership team to create positive, empowering workplaces through a lead by example style, and by hiring and developing team members committed to serving or committed to improving the lives of the marginalized within the community by demonstrating/modeling compassion, respect and inclusiveness for colleagues and clients.
  • Contract management:_ the services we offer are outlined under an agreement with the government that specify a variety of performance, delivery, administrative, policy, and legislative requirements. Your role will be to act as an expert in all matters related to ensuring we remain compliant with those agreements through weekly, monthly, and quarterly review and reporting practices.
  • Stakeholder relationship management:_ Community and employer relationships are critical ensuring successful outcomes for our clients. Working closely with the Community Engagement Manager, you will support the development and maintenance of strong partnerships across key stakeholder groups. This role also holds responsibility for relationship management with the approved subcontractors at the management including ensuring contractual FTEs are reliability available and provisioned.
  • Facilities management_: we operate across several, publicfacing locations in each region with sites varying from 46 to over 20 team members. In addition to our team members, we host clients, partners, events, and different stakeholders daily in each of our sites. Your role is to ensure we offer reliable and accessible services in a safe and professional environment.

- strong knowledge of organizational change theories and approaches
- led successful, major change initiatives in the past
- a strong track record managing complex, operational environments
- previous experience managing complex programs
- deep knowledge of people and performance management practices
- an ability to build strong relationships and trust with people through transparency and strong communication skills
- a coaching and mentorship style management approach
- experience monitoring, forecasting, evaluating, and reporting on contractual obligations
- excellent collaboration skills

Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,500
