Responsibilities:


  • Operate manual lathes efficiently and safely to produce highquality parts.
  • Set up lathes for different jobs, ensuring precision and accuracy in machining.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce components to exact specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process.
  • Continuously improve and optimize machining processes for increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Adapt and learn new machining techniques and technologies as needed.
  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
  • Sets up and operates machine on trial to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Manual Lathe Operator with a strong track record of producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and selflearn new processes and technologies.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a machining environment.

Salary:
$20.00-$24.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Lathe Machine Set up: 2 years (preferred)
Fagor Controls: 1 year (preferred)
