OSG is looking for an
Accounts Receivable Specialist, who is a self-starter and
thrives in a collaborative team environment. Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections within the accounting team.

You will also work closely and collaborate with the sales team and clients to investigate and resolve billing issues, answer receivables inquiries, and record revenue and transactions.

This is a flexible hybrid role, with a mix of remote and in-office work.


What will you do in this role?

  • Complete full cycle accounts receivable functions including proper invoicing, accurate reconciliations of accounts, and outbound collection calls on pastdue balances
  • Drive action from clients and sales to ensure all outstanding accounts are collected within the payment
  • Maintain relationships with clients and communicate effectively regarding bill discrepancies, inquiries, and special billing situations
  • Prepare and analyze AR aging reports and other reports as requested
  • Ensure accounts are up to date by reviewing and posting daily deposits
  • Ensure all monthend revenue adjustments are recorded and reflected on invoices, including discounts, voids, etc.
  • Work closely with distributors to ensure invoices are processed and paid within set terms
  • Identify and monitor any atrisk accounts that may require being written off
  • Assist with the execution of adhoc projects related to process improvements to support the Accounting Team

What do we look for?

  • Postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in collections or receivables
  • Experience with sales tax filing is considered a bonus
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and methodologies
  • Strong practical knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in regard to invoicing, billing, and collections
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and develop relationships with clients and team members
  • Strong people skills with the ability to deal with tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and processes and multitask and prioritize when necessary
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • Proficient in Excel (Xlookups, Pivot Tables, Macro's, etc.)
