Financial Strategy
ThinkOn's indirect approach to customer acquisition creates amazing opportunities to provide our services in a unique way.

It is very important to the growth of ThinkOn that the CFO is accountable for and manages all finance and accounting functions, including, but not limited to, risk management, developing financial strategies, implementing and monitoring contact systems, and reporting accurate financial results.

Key areas of focus in this area of responsibility include:


  • Collaborate with the CEO and other Leadership team members to develop and execute the company's overall strategic plan, considering financial implications and resource allocations.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategies to the leadership team, Board of Directors, investors, lenders, and our team of Thinkers, including required reporting and regular financial reports.
  • Coach, lead, and inspire a small and talented finance team through a period of transition and change.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve financial goals.
  • Determine the optimal capital structure for ThinkOn including evaluating financing options, negotiating terms, and overseeing relationships with lenders and investors.
  • Evaluate potential acquisition activity from a financial perspective, including financial due diligence, and integrating acquired companies into ThinkOn.
  • Provide support to the financial integration of acquisitions, and review of postintegration acquisition accounting.
  • Coordinates, leads, and supports the annual budget development process, ensuring organizational strategic and business goals are reflected and that business leaders are supported in the effective and accurate development of department programs and budgets.

Financial Operations
The Financial Operations area of the Company is incredibly important to the success of ThinkOn. The group currently consists of a Finance Director and general accountants.

Key areas of focus in this department include:

  • Establish robust financial structures and controls to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation, and accounting, by establishing and reporting against key performance indicators that allow the company to determine the overall state of the finance function and to identify when additional resources are required.
  • Oversee financial reporting, statement preparation, and audit working papers, ensuring clear and effective communication both internally and externally, including required reporting and regular financial reports to the Board.
  • Develop comprehensive, longterm financial forecasts and strategic plans to address cost pressures.
  • Assess financial risk and lead internal financial controls.
  • Engage in a process of continuous improvement to implement best practices, standardize processes, and automate manual processes (e.g., new tools, etc.).
  • Manage cash flow effectively and adopt technology to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with product management to ensure our vendors see ThinkOn as the best gotomarket partner.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual budget development process, ensuring that business unit leaders are supported in the effective and accurate development of departmental and program budgets, ensuring organizational strategic and business goals and objectives are reflected. Provides analysis and advice to the leadership team on cost forecasting and other financial data to support effective decisionmaking.
  • Maintain and keep current all organizational finance, accounting and businessrelated policies and procedures.
  • Manage annual and quarterly tax filings in all countries, states and provinces where specific filings are required.

Legal

  • Primary responsibility for Contract Administration including analysis and negotiation of key contractual terms and conditions.
  • Legal and business analysis to promote the best way to acquire and structure new opportunities. Ensure that acquired entities are merged into regular ThinkOn processes and legal structure.
  • Work with outside counsel on a wide range of corporate matters for projects, initiatives, and transactions by drafting and reviewing legal documentation including, but not limited to, contracts and vendor contract negotiation and management.

You Have:


  • A CPA designation in good standing with preference given to individuals who also hold an MBA, Finance degree
years of related progressive financial leadership experience in a complex organizational setting

  • 3+ years at VP of Finance or CFO level
  • Demonstrable record of leadership and finance department management through full annual and multiyear accounting and financial cycles
  • Strong knowledge of current finance and accounting best practices, standards, and performance measures
  • Experience working in a startup environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience of establishing processes, etc. and willingness to dive in to complete the task at hand
