Responsibilities of Maintenance Worker:

Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment
Perform continual preventative maintenance
Handle basic repairs and maintenance
Oversee contractors when professional repairs are required
Diagnosing mechanical and physical maintenance issues and repairing them
Drywall installation, painting and repairing as required
Order and pick up materials required for repairs as needed
All other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements of Maintenance Worker:

Working from height certificate
Prior experience in longterm care is an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with staff, residents, families, community professionals and various outside partners
