The Travel and Events team champions many engagement events across the province.

The Events team leads from the pre-planning stage to onsite oversight at the actual events which are held across the province in conjunction with the host team.

There is the opportunity to travel across the province from the North to Vancouver Island and all throughout the Interior as well as here in the Vancouver Coastal Region.

About the role

As Events Coordinator, you will support the Travel and Events Unit, a centralized service supporting FNHA departments with the organization and implementation of large and complex events across BC.

You will provide comprehensive, senior level administrative and technical support for the Travel and Events Unit's daily operations by ensuring efficient delivery of event coordination, including the development and implementation of plans, systems, processes and procedures essential for effective business operations.


About you

Education

  • A diploma in event management or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Two years relevant and recent experience in a senior administrative capacity, with a focus on event coordination
  • Experience working with BC First Nations communities and/or organizations
  • Experience developing and maintaining administrative systems, processes, and procedures

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the FNHA, and its structure and interdependencies
