Wig Stylist / Colour Specialist

Full time or Part time

Pay

• 18-19 CAD per hour during probation
• £20-22 CAD per hour after successful probation, subject to performance and added value to the business

Role Overview

Nuola Wigs is seeking an experienced and creative Wig Stylist / Colour Specialist to join our growing salon team. This role is ideal for a qualified hairdresser with at least two years of professional salon experience (not including training or apprenticeship periods) who is confident in colouring, cutting, and styling hair.

You will play a key role in creating new wig colours, advising clients on colour choices, recreating custom colours, and supporting both in-salon and online customers. The successful candidate will help expand Nuola Wigs' product portfolio while delivering a high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Colour, cut, and style wigs to a professional salon standard.
• Confidently advise clients on colour choices and styling options.
• Create new colour concepts that can be added to Nuola Wigs' product range.
• Recreate custom colours based on client requests and reference images.
• Maintain consistent colour results across wig collections.

Client Consultations

• Provide professional in-store consultations.
• Support clients seeking custom colours or personalised wig options.
• Offer expert guidance on maintenance, styling, and colour care.
• Deliver a welcoming and professional experience for every client.

Creative Development

• Bring original colour ideas to help expand the Nuola Wigs portfolio.
• Work with the team to develop new colour ranges for online listings.
• Contribute to seasonal collections and special releases.

Salon Standards

• Maintain a clean, organised working environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support team members when required.
• Demonstrate professionalism and reliability.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years professional salon experience (not including training or apprenticeships).
• Confident in colouring, cutting, and styling hair.
• Strong understanding of colour theory and application.
• Comfortable advising clients face-to-face.
• Experience recreating custom colours.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Hard-working, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Role

You will be in charge of maintaining our high standards of wig aesthetics and personally clean and ensure the quality of our selections. You may also work alongside clients in order to establish a decision regarding which wigs would be most suited to the customer, as well as advising.

Key Responsibilities

You will be washing, conditioning, cutting, colouring and styling hair as well as staying up-to-date with the latest trends, hairstyles and products. You will ensure your work stations and sanitising equipment are cleaned throughout the day and work alongside a variety of equipment like straighteners and hot brushes.

There will be training involved on how to colour wigs, achieve balayage techniques and styling wigs.
