Yard Person

The yard person performs many important duties related to incoming and outgoing machines, attachments, and parts movements in the yard.

Being attentive to details, willing to work in a variety of weather conditions, and adhering to safe work practices are critical for success in this position.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Incoming documentation of machines arriving at EMSCO Regina. This includes accurately completing an incoming inspection and collecting an established set of incoming photographs that capture the overall condition of the machine coming into our possession.
Outgoing documentation of machines leaving EMSCO Regina. Completing a bill of lading, outgoing checklist, and any other related paperwork.
Accurately naming and filing all documentation in EMSCO's network drive environment so information can be promptly located should the need arise.
Safely operate equipment including wheel loader, skid steer, fork lift to handle equipment, parts, and components.
Maintaining a clean and organized yard, shop, and steam bay.
Seasonal groundskeeping and maintenance. In the winter the yard person is responsible to clear snow from the lot and sidewalks, and in the summer ensure weeds are controlled along fence lines.

Qualifications

Minimum class 5 driver's license with acceptable driving abstract
Experience operating wheel loader, skid steer, fork lift. It is preferred if the yard person is also competent in the operation of a wider range of heavy equipment such as motor graders, dozers, excavators, rock trucks, etc.; however, we will train the successful applicant.
Highly organized with strong selfmotivation.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, and preferably the ability to have flexibility in hours to meet the needs to customers and the business.

Salary information:

Wage of $25 to $28 per hour, dependent on experience.
