Public Relations Account Executive - Toronto, Canada - NKPR
Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts immersing yourself in each client's business and acting as the daily client contact
- Anticipate client needs, identify solutions, and provide service value
- Develop impactful PR strategies based on client objectives and target audience
- Project manage accounts to ensure a high quality of work, completed on time and within budget
Includes:
strategy planning and assigning roles and responsibilities, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping the senior team informed.
- Manage interns and account coordinators, providing training, mentorship, and constructive feedback to nurture growth and development
- Write communication materials (e.g. pitches, news releases, media advisories, social media content, etc.)
- Manage budgets, negotiate with vendors and liaise with the accounting team internally to ensure accuracy of billing
- Stay on top of PR, social and digital media market trends so that you can contribute to ongoing dialogues and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of public relations experience (agency preferred)
- Postsecondary degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field
- Proven experience executing successful PR and social media strategies
- Excellent client management and relationship building skills
- Experience managing and motivating a team towards a common goal
- Strong writing skills (must be able to write errorfree and grammatically correct press releases, media pitches, social content, client communication, etc. )
- Creative thinker, who challenges the norm and pushes boundaries of PR to deliver results
- Highly, organized, with strong time management skills and a "makeithappen" mindset
- Ability to ensure delivery of highquality work on tight deadlines
- Capability to work collaboratively and foster an inclusive culture
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to quick turnarounds
