Description

Responsibilities:


  • Manage a portfolio of accounts immersing yourself in each client's business and acting as the daily client contact
  • Anticipate client needs, identify solutions, and provide service value
  • Develop impactful PR strategies based on client objectives and target audience
  • Project manage accounts to ensure a high quality of work, completed on time and within budget

Includes:
strategy planning and assigning roles and responsibilities, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping the senior team informed.

  • Manage interns and account coordinators, providing training, mentorship, and constructive feedback to nurture growth and development
  • Write communication materials (e.g. pitches, news releases, media advisories, social media content, etc.)
  • Manage budgets, negotiate with vendors and liaise with the accounting team internally to ensure accuracy of billing
  • Stay on top of PR, social and digital media market trends so that you can contribute to ongoing dialogues and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of public relations experience (agency preferred)
  • Postsecondary degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field
  • Proven experience executing successful PR and social media strategies
  • Excellent client management and relationship building skills
  • Experience managing and motivating a team towards a common goal
  • Strong writing skills (must be able to write errorfree and grammatically correct press releases, media pitches, social content, client communication, etc. )
  • Creative thinker, who challenges the norm and pushes boundaries of PR to deliver results
  • Highly, organized, with strong time management skills and a "makeithappen" mindset
  • Ability to ensure delivery of highquality work on tight deadlines
  • Capability to work collaboratively and foster an inclusive culture
  • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to quick turnarounds
