Make-Up & Hair Artist (Wax Figures) (Part-Time)

Location:
Niagara Falls, ON.

Job Summary:

Ripley's Believe It or Not is looking for a talented and passionate make-up and hair artist that will be working with our wax figures.

The
Make-Up & Hair Artist is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wax figures in our Louis Tussaud's Waxworks Museum.

The Make-Up and Hair Artist will be responsible for using a variety of techniques to inspect and maintain all wax figures including hair, paint, moulding and costumes.


Please remember due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift, before, during or after these hours of operation.

Responsibilities:


  • Enhancing facial aesthetics through makeup.
  • Creating custom looks based on wax figure specifications.
  • Working with wax figures.
  • Determining which colors, materials and shades are most suitable.
  • Having knowledge of different color pallets and design styles.
  • Maintaining awareness for the latest trends in beauty.
  • Having a diverse cosmetic toolkit.
  • Working with and styling synthetic hair.
  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in the beauty industry.
  • Experience with wax figures would be strongly recommended.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with synthetic hair.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset and artistic personality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Flexible work schedule
