The Medical Office Assistant, Data Reconciliation, will be responsible to engage with surgeons' offices across MSH ambulatory care, and may include tasks such as:- Data Entry related to WTIS in surgeon's offices and on CCO website
- Assisting clinics to create or streamline their existing surgical wait lists
- Phoning patients to validate past and current surgery details
- Keeping detailed records of data reconciliation work
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Other administrative duties as needed, such as but not limited to, supporting clinic admins in their daytoday tasks, scheduling meeting and taking minutes
- Job Requirements
- Successful completion of postsecondary education in office administration or related field of study from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum one (1) year recent and related administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or academic setting
- Educational or work experience with office administration
- Previous experience with medical records and maintenance of an electronic medical record (EMR) program would be an asset
- Previous experience in outpatient surgery would be an asset.
- Previous experience with Wait Time Information Systems (WTIS) and CCO reporting requirements would be an asset
- Advanced technical skills and proficiency with MS office suite of software and others.
- Superior organization skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, dependability and reliability
- Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries
- Flexible with ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced, multitasking and dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, excellent interpersonal and professional skills, an ability to work with established team and/or independently as required
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
