The City of Port Moody offers the community a variety of skating lessons and hockey programs for students of all ages and abilities and we are looking for all levels of instructors.

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who have a passion for teaching skating to children, adults and youth in our community.

Previous experience in this field is a requirement.

Summer through August:

Monday
Friday 8:30 am 2:00 pm
Saturday 9:30 am 1:30 pm
Sunday 9:30 am 1:30 pm

Fall/Winter - September to March:

Shifts during the daytime, evening and weekends. Instructors must be avilable to work one weekend shift, Friday evening or Saturday.

Basic Qualifications:

Strong background in figure skating or hockey
Experience instructing skating lessons or hockey programs with a good understanding of progressions and learn to skate skills
Experience working with children
Sound judgment and decision making abilities
Ability to be culturally sensitive, creative, collaborative and resourceful
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Emergency First Aid and CPR C or equivalent
