The Program Manager, Vendor Performance is accountable to provide assurance of contract governance and alignment of service level expectations through monitoring and reporting of source data into performance management KPI's across Canada for Wireline Network capital programs.

This role partners closely with other teams within such as but not limited to, the Access Networks PMO, Regional deployment teams, Supply Chain and Procurement in assessing, reporting on, and improving contractor performance while supporting the business' requirement for cost savings and improvements.


As a lead within PMO that acts as oversight and liaison for internal Rogers teams and vendors to ensure compliance, you will highlight through comprehensive partner performance packages as issued to select companies and disseminated across senior leadership and delivery teams.

The packages include managerial level reporting along with operational level data for independent root cause analysis and correction of performance issues.

Monthly meetings are conducted with select companies and internal teams for a greater level of guidance and collaboration on key issues.


What you will be doing:


  • Evaluation of productivity for build units delivered against baseline units. Also, includes evaluation of major milestone interval durations against established critical path for design milestones and build milestones.
  • Evaluation of efficiency of project delivery for Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly planning accuracy service levels.
  • Evaluation of asset capital management of Rogers consigned equipment through cycle counts and equipment consumption against project progress.
  • Evaluation of disciplined execution when performing work on or near active network equipment with a valid network change ticket (NCT).
  • Evaluation of initial quality of project work against standards, guidelines and specifications for design (FTRD) and construction (FTRC).
  • Validation of Health & Safety related items (scope of work areas, provincial work safe clearances and insurance policy).
  • Support and improve on the existing contractor resourcing and management processes
  • Assist with program recovery/mitigation plans at a contracts level as required
  • Leverage best practices from all stakeholder groups and integrate into the process
  • Performs other duties and assist with special projects as assigned

What you have

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communications skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Commitment to quality performance, process improvement and teamwork across multiple disciplines
  • Detail oriented with an aptitude for tracking progress across many initiatives
  • Experience with managing and understanding contracts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to effectively interact with cross functional teams

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications, engineering and/or network construction
  • Strong understanding of designing & building wireless networks and systems. Well versed on industry & Rogers' standards, site engineering, and construction methods.
