Description
We are looking for FORKLIFT OPERATOR (Transportation Operator) for our Brampton location. Must have tow motor/counter balance license (Propane).

Working shifts (steady shift): 3:00am-11:00am, Monday - Friday


Wage :
Starting rate is 26.48, 3 months 27.79, 6 months 28.96


SHIPPER (Transportation Operator):


The Shipper shall safely and efficiently operate the tow motor and accurately complete associated paperwork to prepare and load goods for timely shipment to customer.

Receiving incoming materials/goods, per company quality policy. Understands the fundamentals and efficiently performs the function of the Unitizer position.


General Job Duties:


  • Responsible for the safe and efficient
  • Loading and unloading of trailers
  • Offloading of units from the takeoff line
  • Put away and storage of finished products
  • Note if any damaged goods are received have delivery person sign delivery slip confirming the damage
  • Understands the fundamentals and efficiently performs the function of the Unitizer position.
  • Repile and rework returns and finished goods and stretch wrap product as necessary
  • Verify counts on production copies with actual product
  • Visually inspect for any nonconformances
  • Follow all required procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in entire warehouse and perform custodial duties as required
  • Follows food safety protocols and ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Reports safety hazards or production/quality issues immediately to the department Manager
  • Maintains an organized and clean work environment
  • Ability to complete forklift competency evaluation
  • Tow motor (propane counter balance) licence with three or more years of experience
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and performing all other duties as assigned

Safety Responsibility and Accountability:


  • Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
  • Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
  • Ensure Dock safety training is followed.
  • Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.
Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.

  • Preuse inspection form
  • Use of hazard reporting form
  • Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.

Education:

Minimum Grade 10

Basic Math
