- Experience with design validation testing on high speed digital circuits
- Critical reference clock verification (jitter analysis)
- Experience with Signal Integrity analysis
- Strong skills with technical documentation and executing test cases
- Familiar with Ethernet and OTN technologies (up to Gb/s) as well as the low-level HW implementation in terms of high-speed SerDes.
- Detailed knowledge of high-speed design and transmission line theory.
- Demonstrated use of Schematic Capture and Layout tools, such as Cadence Concept and Allegro
- Extensive experience in lab measurement techniques and test equipment is a must, including high-speed SerDes technologies.
- Enjoys and is successful in solving complex problems. Demonstrates initiative and can apply new technology principles independently
- Adept at decision making and independently or collaboratively evaluating design options
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- Expertise in Board level simulation and circuit simulation methodology is desired

JOB DESCRIPTIONActalent is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer for a full time opportunity with one of our clients in the telecom industry.
Description:
The successful candidate will be doing design validation testing on new, untested boards. There will be a lot of characterization of 56G links, power characterization, advanced clocking and test characterization. You will be working on very complex boards, W+, 32 layers, 56G PAM4 SerDes, G plugs, etc. There will be the opportunity to contribute on the design side down the line for upcoming projects as well.
