About the role:

Voldex is seeking a proven Quality Assurance Manager to help us deliver exceptional experiences on the Roblox platform. We believe that QA is _foundational_ to the health and success of our games and to the player experience.

Our games have accumulated more than 1.5 BILLION plays.

In this role, you'd be at the forefront of our Quality Assurance efforts-building the frameworks and implementing the strategies that delight millions of players every month.

What You'll Do:

Functional testing of Voldex games at an expert levelyou find, reproduce, document, and ultimately squash the hairiest bugs
Review and evaluate Voldex test processes and suggest improvements based on industry best practices and your own (impressive) personal experience
Act as a servant leader for QA professionals under your direction. Remove blockers, support their growth/development, and foster an environment where everyone thrives
Plan and implement companywide test strategies
Effectively assign, delegate, and prioritize bug investigations to ensure proper resourcing and support for all Voldex games
Own our bug tracking software: ensure reports are timely and effective, requests for info are completed, and keep up on the general health of the games
Liaise with other department leads/managers to better understand their pain points and create more efficient workflows

What You Bring to the Team:

Extensive experience in quality assurance within the video game industry
Prior management/leadership of individual QA testers or small teams
Ability to work and communicate effectively with crossdiscipline stakeholders, managers, and company leadership
The ability to objectively assess risk areas and then communicate them to product teams and other leaders
Prior success creating forwardlooking test plans that identify risks _before _they become problematic and mitigate them
Proficiency with bug tracking/project management software (we use a mixture of Trello and inhouse software, but Jira, Devtrack, others are fine too)

Bonus Points for:

Testing experience with Roblox games or User Generated Content (Minecraft, Fortnite, etc)
Demonstrated test expertise for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
Experience managing remote teams and/or direct reports
A passion for team building: hiring, training, and retaining talent
