ATS Scientific is currently looking to fill the role of Shipper / Receiver. This position provides a flexible working environment in a dynamic, expanding company.
The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for the duties outlined below and will align themselves with ATS' core mission by managing the shipping and receiving functions of the business to ensure its continued growth in revenue and customer satisfaction.

Requirements/Competencies/Qualifications
Academic Training:
- Grade 12 education
Work Experience:
- Shipping / Receiving experience and/or experience within a warehouse environment
Competencies:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including a high level of professionalism
- Selfmotivated with the ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving problems independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License
- Forklift certification is considered an asset
- Knowledge of shipping methods is considered an asset
- Some flexibility in scheduling is considered an asset
- General understanding of scientific and laboratory equipment industry is considered an asset
Major Responsibilities
- Organizes distribution and costeffective shipping of products by verifying the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents
- Assure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report variances and/or damage and handle returns
- Complete relevant shipping paperwork and documentation manually and using computer software
- Interacts with transport drivers, transportation brokers to ensure ontime pickups and deliveries, problem solve or troubleshoot deficiencies in shipments
- Maintain an organized department according to specified materials locations and keeps equipment in safe operating condition by performing required inspections and maintenance
- Stay on top of all applicable transportation guidelines
- Participates in inventory cycle counts, maintains inventory storage area, and occasionally participates in local area deliveries or pickups
- Picking, packing and labelling orders while following appropriate procedural control elements in a timely and effective manner
- Developing strong relationships with our logistics/shipping partner companies
- General building maintenance
- Other related duties as required
