Description

The Estimator will report to the Sales Manager and be accountable for working with the broader estimating team in preparing and coordinating quantity take-offs.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing tender packages.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Prepares and coordinates quantity take-offs without supervision.
Communicates with Contractors and suppliers to ensure understanding of scope of work.
Prepare contractor tender packages.
Assist with the development of the estimate.
Communicates with contractors for understanding of scope of work.
Ability to check and verify one's own quantities using other sources.
Preparation of Shop Drawings

Knowledge & Skills:

Blueprint reading
Basic understanding of Standard Method of Measurement.
Basic understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting and consulting.
Basic trade/product knowledge
Technology savvy in Excel
Mathematically inclined
Attention to detail
Time Management
Ability to prioritize
Good communication skills
Research abilities general/pricing
Ability to work within a team
