Accounts Receivable Clerk - Mississauga, Canada - NO SUGAR COMPANY

Fast-growing Mississauga consumer packaged goods company is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Accounting Team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk.
The successful individual will have an educational background in accounting, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, a willingness to work independently or within a team.
This position's key area of responsibility is the timely and accurate recording of Customer payments and chargebacks.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Gather documentation and backup for all charges
- Communicate with brokers, clients, and customers on outstanding, missing or unauthorized deductions
- Engage customers, brokers and supervisor as required to resolve complex issues.
- Alert Manager of large chargebacks and possible timing of deduction for cash flow purposes
- Institute and maintain biweekly Accounts Receivable Aging for Management review
- Ad hoc reconciliations as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1+ years related accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge of processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains, Dynamic 365 an asset)
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to take initiative, resolve issues, provide solutions and recommendations
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of EDI is a plus
