Description

We are seeking a journeyman carpenter or a carpenter apprentice for Framing, renovation, foundation and finishing projects.

• Eager, hardworking individuals willing to work as a team and / or independently on various construction projects.
• Be well mannered and able to communicate with other staff and clients
• Able to work with sub trades
• Take pride in their work
• Valid BC Drivers license

Experience:

- construction: 2 years (preferred)


Job Duties:

• Understanding customer requirements
• Responding to change orders
• Team player
• Working with subcontractors
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety)
• Knowledge of woods and their uses and adaptability
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry

Salary:
$20.00-$40.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
