Sustainable Fitch - Toronto is currently seeking an Associate Analyst based out of our Toronto office.

• Sustainable Fitch is currently seeking an Associate Analyst based out of our Toronto office. Part of Fitch Group, Sustainable Fitch is focused on research and analysis of ESG themes for companies and their debt instruments across the globe. The products offered by Sustainable Fitch include ESG Scores, ESG Ratings and ESG Research, with the support of Product Development and Resource teams. It has offices in Barcelona, Hong Kong, London, New York, Singapore and Toronto.

What We Offer:

• 12month program including 23 weeks of initial training and indepth, ongoing training, mentoring, and assessment.
• This fulltime graduate program commences with structured training, designed to provide a broad introduction to sustainability and impact assessment.
• Once the initial training has been completed, you will be immersed into analyzing the broad range of issuers that make up the leverage finance market, writing reports and presenting a score proposal to the review team and, finally, publishing the report.

We'll Count on You To:

• Sustainable Fitch is looking for highly motivated and passionate graduates to be trained on our proprietary scoring methodology for ESG Scores, and then to deliver quality research and analytical products to our clients.
• The role entails the delivery of highquality, timely, focused analysis on a suite of products related to the ESG credentials and performance of entities and fixed income issuances.
• The person will work alongside peers in a team and be assigned a varied portfolio of companies and associated debt instruments to analyze and monitor.
• Will have to present and discuss internally (and externally) their findings and related outputs.

What You Need to Have:

• Be a December August 2024 graduate in a discipline with a background suitable to carry out sustainabilityrelated work (such as Environmental Sciences, Healthcare, Biology, Engineering, Economics, among others.)
• Interest, knowledge and understanding of current ESG market themes and standards is a key requirement for the role.
• Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and good attention to detail and comfortable working with and drawing conclusions from data.
• Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) Be fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Detailed knowledge of an additional language will be beneficial Ability to start September 2024 in Toronto (hybrid office schedule)
• Students must have work authorization in Canada without sponsorship

• Interest in Environmental and/or Social and/or Governance themes for Corporates
• Intellectually curious students with financial flair and a keen interest in credit, fixed income and industry analysis.
• Strong, clear, and concise communicators, both verbally and written
• Be a selfstarter, with a focus for detail, execution, and workload prioritization

• Certain understanding about financial statements is a plus.
