Maintenance Supervisor
Key Accountabilities
To ensure all equipment operates safely and all plant GMP standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provides mechanical support to all departments within the facility
- Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and to operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance
- Ensure a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment
- Correct unsafe working conditions
- Trouble shoot any mechanical breakdown in the production process to ensure mínimal loss in manufacturing of our products
- Assist in the installation of any new equipment in the facility
- Report any concerns and/or problems to supervisor through daily written and verbal reporting
- Understands the mechanics of our facilities processing and packaging equipment and is able to maintain it
- Take part as an active member of continuous improvement teams
- Ensure GMP s and safe food handling practices are being followed
- o Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (ie: ingredients, water, debris and wood)
- o Report any foreign material findings to your supervisor
- o As part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviours to your supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Service & Performance oriented
- High sense of urgency
- Effective communicator must discuss potential problems effectively
Required
- Must hold a valid license, or proof of license from any province or country
- Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright
