We have an immediate opening for a Digital Programs Coordinator to join our award-winning team. This is a full-time term position, with an end date of March 31, 2025.

The Digital Programs Coordinator supports the delivery and expansion of Kingston Economic Development's suite of digital services for local businesses.

The Role


Reporting to the Business Development Manager - Small & Medium Enterprises, the Digital Programs Coordinator supports the delivery and expansion of Kingston Economic Development's suite of digital services for local businesses.

The Coordinator is responsible for achieving the deliverables of existing programs (Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) and Digital Main Street (DMS)) and actively exploring funding streams for service enhancement and expansion.


The Digital Programs Coordinator is an advocate for the potential of digitization for the growth and expansion of local business.

Commitment to customer service excellence, and the ability to demonstrate the value of adopting digital technologies to small and medium enterprises are required for success in the position.


Key Responsibilities
Advisory Services & Program Expansion

  • Complete digital assessments for businesses and provide recommendations for tools, platforms and/or technology adoption to meet business goals.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation for businesses promote & communicate available resources, stay current with new support programs, and provide insight and information on digital platforms, social media, content management systems, ecommerce tools and emerging technologies.
  • Assist business owners to identify opportunities to leverage digital tools/technology and develop digital transformation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of digital trends and new platforms and technologies.
  • Assist businesses as they adopt digital tools, technologies, and services provide support and share resources available through secondary sources that can assist businesses to establish a basic website, create social media content, implement ecommerce platforms and other adoption strategies.
  • Assist E-Commerce Advisors working under the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) as necessary and ensure that businesses have access to resources/funding under both CDAP and DMS when applicable.
  • Work with Business Development Manager to ensure successful activation of initiatives and increased digital program adoption.
  • Deliver digital marketingrelated workshops.
  • Support the Business Development Manager and the Marketing and Communications Manager with the creation of marketing and promotional materials for digital support services and programs.
  • Research, identify, recommend, and implement new programs and services and related funding opportunities to sustain and grow the Corporation's suite of digital services to support local businesses.
Program Administration

  • Oversee project administration and reporting for existing and new funding programs ensure compliance with funding agreements including but not limited to financial and participatory schedules and commitments.
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements that are part of digital programs delivered by the Corporation, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain direct communications with program participants, complete field notes and report on a regular basis to the Business Development Manager and Management Team.
  • Ensure all data is entered on time and accurately within the Corporate and program CRMs.
  • Attending team meetings as required.
  • Project support and additional duties as assigned.

Education
A post-secondary education is required.

A degree or certificate in a related field (marketing, digital media, business administration) is considered favourably.
