Accountabilities:
How You Will Make an Impact


The Nuclear Equipment Solutions team is looking for a dynamic leader for our Director, Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and Environmental Qualification (EQ) role.

The position provides an opportunity to lead a specialized team of project managers, engineers, scientists, and technicians and to manage a global portfolio of diverse parts supply and equipment testing in a face-paced lab environment.

In this role, the Director will work closely with the CGD Section Manager (SM) and EQ SM to drive the business ensuring that the key department metrics including safety, quality, financial, growth, and continuous improvement initiatives are met.

Embracing a strong Nuclear Safety Culture is key to this role.


General Accountabilities:


  • Leadership of the service line portfolio. This includes accountabilities for safety, quality, project execution, sales/financial, and resource management.
  • Manage relationships with existing and new clients to bring in orders which meet or exceed targets. Projects to be completed on schedule and budget ensuring excellent customer service and quality.
  • Provide oversight and support to the team to ensure internal and external commitments are met.
  • Provide technical sales support through proposals and presentations, and pursuit of new business opportunities to ensure a strong sales funnel for future work.
  • Responsible for technical oversight, leading, mentoring, and resource managing the team to support project challenges and issues. These challenges/issues may involve technically complex problems in high pressure scenarios that require immediate and dedicated support.
  • Strategic planning including business development, developing and supporting CAPEX projects, and new product development.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Performance and Leadership:_
  • Drives and maintains the strong nuclear culture through observation and coaching, continuous improvement, reporting and driving corrective actions.
  • Leads by example and achieves results by effectively communicating job performance expectations.
  • Facilitates internal relationships and effective use of resources.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to staff on use of HU tools, procedural use and adherence, etc. to prevent breakthrough events in safety and quality.
  • Responsible for staffing and resourcing decisions, and working with the line management team to ensure priorities are sufficiently resourced and aligned on priorities.
