Overview:


Adastra is currently seeking a Senior Data Quality and Data Management Consultant to join our growing Data Governance and Digital Practice.

You will have the opportunity to work on dynamic projects in various industries.


Location:
GTA, Ontario


Status:
Full Time, Permanent


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead endtoend technical development and deployment of Data Quality & Master Data implementation projects programs, including solution architecture, Data Quality strategy development, effort estimation, design & implementation
  • Deliver the handson implementation of the above, and thought and team leadership on client projects
  • Fulfill technology lead roles within Data Management/Data Quality Centers of Excellence
  • Think strategically and execute tactically, including the willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • Use strong technical writing skills to write required Data Management and Data Quality program artifacts, including strategy and implementation recommendations, processes, and policies
  • Provide necessary training to others in technologies, processes, or methodologies

Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, or extensive experience within Data Management Function
  • 3+ years experience and a demonstrated track record in leading design and development of Data Quality and Integration solutions and programs
  • Three years in a role that involved several processes throughout the SDLC such as
  • Data discovery, profiling, build inventories
  • Data modelling
  • Data Quality rule creation
  • Data Quality validation, cleansing and exception management
  • Data integration and sharing techniques (batch and realtime)
  • Project effort and cost estimation
  • Three years experience implementing Data Quality/Data Management/Data Integration with expert level knowledge on at least one popular Data Quality/ ETL Platform (Informatica, Ataccama, Talend, Precisely etc.)
  • Strong handson technical experience with design and development leveraging Database, SQL, ETL, DQ tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills verbal/presentation, writing, visual storytelling (i.e. PowerPoint presentations)
  • Have expertise in Integration design (e.g. APIs), ETL (Extract, Transform and Load), velocity (e.g. streaming)
  • Informatica IICS, DataStage, Talend, Boomi, Snaplogic and more
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas through project execution:
  • Hands on experience with Integrating Data Layers (e.g. raw, curated)
  • Data Integration & Archiving Techniques
  • Data Warehouse Tools and Methodology
  • Data Conversion and Migration
  • Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies
  • Experience with data architecture for cloud native data management with focus on (Business) Data Definitions and Metadata (an asset)
