What you will do


The Information, Data and Analytics Services (IDAS) group supports the Bank's research, analysis and decision-making through innovative and responsive analytics and information management, built on efficient and user-focused technical platforms and tools.

Within IDAS, the Information Management and Platforms (IMAP) group provides full lifecycle management of centrally managed data and information and leads Bank-wide data and information management policy/standards setting and advisory services.

We also ensure responsive and resilient data and information platforms and tools through ongoing oversight, evergreening, and specialized technical services and support.


In addition, you will:
- participate in development, deployment and operationalization of new data pipelines, as well as changes and enhancements to existing pipelines
- troubleshoot when issues arise
- assist in data onboarding activities
- plan and conduct user acceptance testing
- provide guidance and support in the build and maintenance of metadata
- perform other related duties as assigned


What you need to succeed
You have knowledge of data management principles and best practices. You possess programming skills such as Python, SQL. You are a self starter that shows initiative and finds innovative ways to solve complex problems. You collaborate with peers and contribute to discussions. You are a change contributor with the ability to make sound decisions and judgments. You also have excellent organizational and time management skills.


Nice-to-have
- knowledge of cloud technologies
- knowledge of macro-economic concepts and the role of central banking


Your education and experience
- a Bachelor's degree in a related field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, etc.) and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience

or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

and

  • Operating in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Working in a continuous improvement environment where changes are encouraged, and priorities shift often.

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents

Hybrid Work Model #LI-Hybrid**The Bank is conducting a trial of a hybrid working model which provides employees with the flexibility to telework for significant portions of each month. During the trial, employees will be expected to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person and to build connections with colleagues. For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $64,705 to $76,125 (job grade 14)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
