Metro Testing + Engineering (Metro) was established in 1987 in Metro Vancouver, BC to provide the materials testing of concrete, asphalt, and soils for the construction industry.

Since then, we have grown to include a diverse scope of services that now includes specialty testing, materials engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, concrete restoration, and quality assurance certification throughout BC and Alberta.

We are looking for an experienced Civil Technologist/Material Testing technician who is ready to take the next step and become our next Operations Manager in Terrace BC.

This position reports to the CEO and is part of the management team.

What you will be doing:

Lead a team of Field Material Testing Technicians
Business Development and Client management
Reviewing of material testing reports
Monitor project site documentation to ensure work and materials are in compliance with the project specifications and appropriate testing methodology
Administrative duties such as AP/AR Review, expenses reports and scheduling,

Who you are:

10+ years of experience in the material testing /civil engineering industry or equivalent combination of education and experience;
5 years of experience in a supervisory/management role
5 years of experience in project management
5 years of experience with business development and client management
Valid BC driver's license.

What you will get:

Starting wages is 90k/year
