    Middleware Administrator

    On behalf of our client in the Utility Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Middleware Administrator.

    Middleware Administrator – Job Description

    • This is a "hands on" Middleware Administration role to support project work and ongoing business operations
    • Administration of Sharepoint 2019
    • System administration and configuration tasks for implementations and support
    • Install, maintain, and document middleware applications
    • Troubleshoot (diagnose & resolve) production issues

    Middleware Administrator – Mandatory Skills

    • 5 years – Deploying and administering MS SharePoint farms
    • Installing, configuring and managing Sharepoint servers
    • Experience upgrading and migrating SP 2013 to 2016 or 2019
    • Configuring new sites
    • Full understanding of setting and editing permissions
    • Maintaining system backups
    • Applying patches, service packs and security updates
    • 3 years – Problem determination & resolving middleware technical support issues
    • Windows operating system and hardware knowledge
    • Knowledge of networking, including creating firewalls, security zones and encryption
    • Experience with Internet Information Server (IIS)
    • Experience with a Microsoft SQL Server
    • Working with middleware integration technologies

    Middleware Administrator - Nice to Have Skills

    • Deploying and administering Liferay DXP
    • Familiarity with Java application servers (Websphere and Tomcat)
    • Demonstrated success in systems administration or application delivery roles
    • Demonstrated excellence in writing Operational Support guides for Middleware
    • Experience with Dynatrace monitoring and alerting tools (especially building Dashboards)
    • Experience in version control tools (PVCS, SVN or CVS)
    • Experience with IPswitch MoveIT
    • Experience with SAP Business Objects 4.2 and above
    • Familiarity with Java development and technologies such as JSPs and Servlets
    • Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts
    • A good understanding of network principles such as load balancing, firewalls etc.
