Tasks:


  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Operate manual or semiautomatic flamecutting equipment
  • Operate manual or semiautomatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arcair), (AOC)
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:


  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Pressure Welding Certification
