Duties:


The Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG), through the Chancellery of Honours, administers aspects of the Canadian Honours System, including the Order of Canada, the Decorations for Bravery, the Meritorious Service Decorations, Military Valour Decorations, the Polar Medal and the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers.


In addition to processing and administrating nomination files, the main responsibilities will consist of doing research, analyzing information, preparing materials for advisory committees and providing recommendations.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCES
PM-03
E- Experience researching and analyzing information to provide advice and recommendations both orally and in writing in a professional setting; and
E- Experience working with internal and external partners.

PM-04
E- Experience researching and analyzing information to provide advice and recommendations to senior management (directors and above/executives or above), both orally and in writing;
E- Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal and/or external clients, partners or stakeholders; and
E- Experience with leading, guiding, coaching and/or mentoring junior staff members.

AQ- Experience working in the public service.

  • Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with fulltime continuous performance of the duties for approximately 2 years.
**"Complex case analysis" include those that include multiple interrelationships and interdependencies, as well as those involving multiple stakeholders at various internal and / or external levels of the organization.
