Description

The Environmental, Health, & Safety Coordinator supports the EHS Manager in overseeing and implementing the company's environmental, health, and safety programs and all applicable EHS management systems at our Kawneer Lethbridge facility.

This individual will be required to align environmental, health, and safety issues with company's long and short-term strategic planning.


General Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, health, safety, or a related feild.
  • Postsecondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • 3 + years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Standard First Aid/Level C-CPR and AED, WHMIS certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be extremely organized and a selfstarter; able to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills; deals with conflict effectively.
  • Must be a strong multitasker and must excel at coping with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of workers compensation legislation.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Must be a highly motivated, service, and teamoriented individual with an attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.
  • Understanding of selfassessments or internal audit process.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience in the areas of Alberta OHS Act, Regulation and Codes, Workplace Hazard Identification/Elimination, and Health and Safety Claims Management.
  • Prior experience in dealing with WSIB/Government agencies is an asset.

Certificates & Licenses:


  • Canadian Registered Safety Professionals(CRSP) certification is preferred.

Work Environment/Conditions:
Standard office environment with regular business hours from Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required (Non-Exempt). Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals


Pay:
$55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
