"Education Intern - Art Gallery"
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Fine/Visual Art, Art Education, Art History, or Museum Studies.
  • Demonstrated strengths in research and writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity and experience using Past Perfect and Argus Collections Management database or other database programs, and knowledge of database management would be an asset
  • Prior experience working or volunteering in a public gallery, museum, or library
  • Prior experience teaching and supervising children ages 0 and up
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Familiarity and experience using Zoom and other virtual platforms such as app developers and social media would be an asset.

Duties:


  • Work closely with the Head of Education and Education Coordinator;
  • Assist with the research, development, documentation, and implementation of virtual exhibitions, collection lists/tours, and related education programs and resources through virtual platforms; App;
  • Assist with the research, development, documentation, and delivery of public and school programs inperson and virtually;
  • Increase intellectual access to the permanent collection;
  • Liaise with volunteer committees that the support education programming;
  • Perform other related duties along with other functions and priorities within an innovative municipal gallery as directed.
