The Position:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electro-Mechanical Technician's key responsibility and duties will include:

  • Maintain and perform the preventative and predictive maintenance program tasks on all production and auxiliary plant equipment
  • React to production needs by performing necessary repairs, adjustments and calibrations on the equipment
  • Perform major equipment repairs, overhauls and rebuilding as required
  • Record daily in department CMMS all repairs and preventative maintenance performed.
  • Through the assistance of the Maintenance Manager, identify and implement opportunities to minimize operational overhead costs
  • Promote and adhere to safe work practices
  • Willingness to work on flexible schedules(days/evening/nights)

Qualifications:


  • Graduate of an Engineering Technology program or related post secondary education, Certified Trade or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mechanically inclined with strong knowledge in electronics
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and exercise good judgment
  • A demonstrated ability to use initiative
  • Basic computer skills
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
