    Job status: PermanentFull-time 1.0 FTE (75 hours bi-weekly)

    Compensation: $64,146- $71,567

    JOB SUMMARY

    Working closely with and reporting to the Manager,Annual Giving Programs, the Development Officer, Online Giving & Outreach playsa key role in the planning, execution and evaluation of multi-channel annualgiving strategies, campaigns and initiatives. The Officer is a member of theDevelopment team and works closely with the Annual Giving, Donor Services, andCommunications & Marketing teams, as well as external vendors.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    MultichannelDirect Marketing

  • Works closely with the Manager, Annual Giving Programs and the Annual Giving team to execute and evaluate an integrated annual giving portfolio (e.g. e-appeals, online giving, monthly giving, 50/50 campaigns, door-to-door, and telefundraising).
  • Serves as Project Manager for the implementation and execution of Mailchimp communications and support including e-appeals, stewardship emails, invitations, and other digital communications.
  • Develops campaign briefs, email schedules, and work back calendars for e-appeals, e-Newsletters, and other Mailchimp communications in collaboration with other teams.
  • Provides key support for the expansion of the 50/50 fundraising program, which includes longer campaigns and more diverse prizing offerings.
  • Leads a refreshed and revitalized email acquisition program to build Annual Giving prospect lists and feed the donor pipeline.
  • Leads the management of online donor records in Virtuous, including email subscription tracking and email receipt records.
  • Leads the preparation of email lists for the Annual Giving team and ensures that subscription preferences and email communication policies are followed.
  • Assists Manager with development of online giving strategy and research and implementation of online giving best practices.
  • Provides key support for an updated tribute donation strategy, including promotion of tribute donations, updating tribute donation materials and processes, and stewarding.
  • Cultivationand Stewardship

    · Provideskey support for the development of a new stewardship calendar for onlinedonors, including a detailed multi-email welcome series for new donors andregular stewardship touchpoints via email.

    · IntegratesVirtuous systems into Annual Giving internal processes and implements newcapacities presented by Virtuous, including automations to streamline donorstewardship and solicitation.

  • Provides key support for the development and implementation of new Telethon donor year-round online stewardship and outreach strategy.
  • In collaboration with the Annual Giving team, executes strategies to ensure donors receive engaging, relevant, and timely information about the impact of their giving.
  • VendorRelations

  • Liaises with external consultants, vendors and suppliers, as required.
  • Coordinates creative, copy, data requests and print production with external vendors.
  • Coordinates vendor project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and status updates are provided.
  • Consults with vendors over key successes and learnings from each campaign.
  • Assists with request for proposals (RFPs) for new vendor selections.
  • Monitoringand Reporting

  • Leads regular A/B testing of emails and donation pages ensuring an optimized user experience.
  • Maintains results sheets for each email campaign, including budgets and actuals.
  • Provides updates on 50/50 campaign performance, including response rates, average purchase amounts, donor conversion and ROI.
  • Analyzes giving across multiple channels, providing insights on giving patterns.
  • Monitors the acquisition, renewal and engagement of donors within the annual giving campaign and identifies opportunities.
  • In partnership with the Donor Services team, ensures annual appeals are set up correctly and gifts are coded accurately in Raiser's Edge.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    · Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevantdiscipline (e.g. marketing, communications, fundraising)

    · A minimum of 3 years related experience infundraising or other revenue-generating activities.

    · An equivalent combination of related educationand experience will be considered.

    · Experience with the development of annualgiving plans and budgets is preferred.

    · Knowledge of fundraising systems, structuresand procedures.

    · A clear understanding of fundraising andmarketing strategies to recruit and retain donors.

    · Proven success in annual campaigns,fundraising events, direct mail, planned giving, or major gifts is an asset.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external interactions.
  • Knowledge of marketing regulations, privacy regulations, as well as emerging trends.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Raiser's Edge or other fundraising database experience is an asset.
