The City of Edmonton is looking for a proactive and collaborative professional to join the Integrated Infrastructure Services department.As a Strategic Business Partner, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our city by bridging the gap between high-level strategy and daily operations.
You will work closely with leadership to ensure our department's goals align with the city's long-term vision while remaining fiscally responsible.

What will you do?Contribute to the development of department and branch business strategies in alignment with the City's Strategic Planning Framework
Lead and facilitate business planning processes, translating corporate direction into actionable plans for various branches
Develop, implement, and monitor performance measures to identify trends and recommend corrective actions for service delivery
Collaborate with financial teams to ensure business planning is integrated with budget processes
Identify, monitor, and report on risks and mitigation plans to ensure operational safety and efficiency
Facilitate the creation and update of policies, supporting audits and Council reports as required
Act as a trusted advisor to collaborators across the organization, providing expertise on strategic and corporate plans
Qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Public Administration, Planning, Humanities, or a related discipline
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic and operational business planning, risk management, and performance measurement
Proven experience in interpreting financial data and developing business cases
Assets:
Previous leadership, facilitation, and project management experience within a public sector environment
Skills required for success:
Considerable knowledge of the business planning cycle, policy development, and benchmarking procedures
Strong ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights that support decision-making
Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build consensus among people with varying levels of expertise
Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage integrated projects effectively
Ability to build strong working relationships and provide confident advice to senior leadership

Conditions of Employment:
A Police Information Clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement

Work Environment:
This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a standard office setting
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite.
