    Pario Engineering & Environmental Services is currently seeking Structural Engineers who are dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support our continued expansion in Atlantic Canada.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for performing forensic investigations regarding structural related matters involving, but not limited to residential / commercial building design, building envelope and building code compliance issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

    In this position, you will join a highly creative and collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and forensic investigation excellence. A willingness to travel both within Atlantic Canada and occasional travel to other areas of Canada is a must.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assess, document, analyze, and report on the origin and cause of structural failures.
  • Interview witnesses, service personnel and other local officials.
  • Provide structural designs for restoration and renovation purposes.
  • Develop and complete full working drawings for building department acceptance.
  • Complete complex or innovative projects of varying sizes where new or innovative design approaches are required.
  • Lead project(s) from start to finish.
  • Provide clean, accurate, and timely designs.
  • Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license, or the ability to be licensed in the province of employment.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience; preferably including a strong residential design and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience within the insurance and legal industry is an asset.
  • A demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook & Excel).
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the Regional Building Code.
  • Hands-on construction experience is an asset.
  • Positive, self-driven, motivated, professional attitude is a must.
  • A willingness and passion to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry events.
  • Customer facing experience: Ability to discuss projects budgets with clients and maintain continuous communications throughout the project.
