Your Opportunity:

Under the general supervision of the portfolio Manager, the Procurement Specialist I performs purchasing functions consistent with established AHS procurement policies and practices within the purchasing portfolio that services all sites within the Zones.

The Procurement Specialist I is responsible for the acquisition of supplies, equipment, services, or supporting function within assigned work groups.

The Procurement Specialist I performs transactional acquisition processes in alignment with defined routine and complex procedures, cost thresholds, and decision making algorithms.

The Procurement Specialist I, researches/collates information, prepares requests for quotations, and issues purchase orders using preset templates according to established rules outlining segregation of duties, expedites materials ensuring on-time delivery and resolves all invoice discrepancies.

Description:

As a Procurement Specialist I, you will be responsible for performing purchasing functions consistent with established policies and practices while utilizing your excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and external vendors.

You will be responsible for the acquisition and procurement of routinely purchased supplies, equipment and services within assigned work groups.

Your other responsibilities may include researching and collating information, preparing requests for quotations, and issuing purchase orders using pre-set templates and established rules.
