About the Role
Your education and experiences will have prepared you to participate in or learn the following:

Future scaping
- push the boundaries of what can be simulated, explained, understood and shared through advanced data analysis and profound data visualization
- advance the data science capability of the team through sharing and adapting tools and supporting processes, techniques
- coordinate technical collaboration with academic staff from collaborating agencies, labs, and academic institutions
- design environments, scenarios, experiments and models
- support the modeling team with deep research and analysis of the most challenging topic areas

Data wrangling and analysis
- develop integration pathways for RWI data, models, and insights with third-party big data solutions
- bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Science, Engineering, Economics, or in other related fields
- use additional sources of data and information to provide arms-length validation of data, models, outcomes and insight
- experience with data analysis foundations - including one or more advanced techniques in regression, segmentation, clustering and classification - experiment design, time series modeling, and hypothesis testing
- promote automation of repetitive tasks through tooling, share insights, tools, techniques for team benefit

Digital storytelling
- good judgment balancing art and science when visually communicating information
- experience developing and leading presentations to wide audience of diverse skill sets, including senior management
- contribute to techniques, design, and tools in support of digital storytelling in both commonly available as well as RWI-specific tools, including the RWI Holodeck VR data visualization and analysis environment
- build close relationships with business stakeholders and act as a liaison between business users and technical teams and issues to understand business and customer issues

At RWI, we work remotely across North America but like to get together now and again at the office or on the road.
