Who we are and what we do:

Responsibilities

  • Key focus to support acquisition of new and returning business and convert leads and opportunities to delivered projects.
  • Coordinate BD and sales efforts to achieve sales growth and revenue targets in conjunction with wider business development colleagues and in line with F&N strategic direction.
  • Promote Intertek's services to existing and new clients.
  • Support development of the client account by account plan and monitor and report performance against the plan.
  • Support marketing efforts including management of website content, brochures, and webinars.
  • Support BD colleagues in building and maintaining relationships with clients and responding to client enquiries.
  • Prepare quotations under direction of the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager & Business Developer and manage the commercial contract process and coordinate legal review of agreements and contracts.
  • Support market awareness activities to contribute to Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager & Business Developer in assessing business development potential and identifying additional revenue streams.
  • Document and track BD team's structured action plans and manage Business Development KPIs.
  • Produce detailed reporting of expected tender bids/wins/losses and lead iConnect activities.
  • Deliver high standards of customer relations and service, seeking continuous improvement in a drive for excellence and be a positive company representative to customers.

Qualifications

EXTERNAL EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary Education, science, business, or communication discipline

  • Aptitude for science and interest in pursuing general understanding of Food & Nutrition services and deliverables.
  • Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when tackling tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a virtual team setting; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, multitasking environment.
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to professional development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (using, where applicable, either a powertopersuade or a collaborativefacilitation delivery style) for advancing business or project needs and for resolving roadblocks and/or differences of opinion.
  • Superior organizational and timemanagement skills critical to organizing work of the Food & Nutrition BD team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to ensure clients have a positive experience with Intertek.
  • Effective business writing and composition skills with a good command of the English language.
  • Demonstrative initiative and selfmotivation.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Effective organizational skills to support efficient workflow.
  • Microsoft Office software expertise and overall computer proficiency
