_ DataDrill is currently seeking a hard-working and independent individual for entry level Field Technician_
1) Ability to work safely and efficient with mínimal supervision

2) Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and shift work activities as needed.

3) General electronic and computer knowledge is an asset

4) Enjoys working outdoors with various tools and equipment

5) Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

6) Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

7) Minimum Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean abstract

8) Comfortable in towing trailers would be considered an asset

9) Valid First Aid, H2S, Fall Arrest, CSO is required

10) Most importantly, you will receive all the training, and support you'll need to succeed in the role

A DataDrill Field Technician will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Rigging up various communication equipment (Vsat, Cellular Repeater, Wireless Intercom, IP Cameras, Wifi, Laptop packages, Two-way radio & Portable towers) in remote locations (within BC, AB & SK)
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients while on site, maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Driving in all weather conditions on oil and gas roads (dirt/ice/mud)
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, sun, wind)
  • Cleaning and repairing various communication equipment, replacing hardware components and accessories
  • Administrative work such as writing field tickets and filling out timesheets


You will also benefit from the support of our technical and logístical teams based at head office who will assist you with any issues that arise while out in the field.


Please note that while this role is based in Calgary, AB, you will be working remotely in the field, which will require you to travel through out AB, BC & SK. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by DataDrill.
