We are seeking a
Credit & Collections Analyst to join our Toronto, team Primarily responsible to provide accurate and timely accounts receivable administration and perform customer collection calls as required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The fundamental duties of this job include the following:

  • Responsible for contacting customers regarding past due invoices in a professional manner in order to reduce the outstanding receivable while maintaining good customer rapport.
  • Demonstrate understanding of contract language and billing instruction sheets.
  • Responsible to follow the established collection policy through verbal and written customer communication.
  • Review and analyze aging reports and provide recommendations to management monthly.
  • Become proficient in all aspects of filing notices in a multistate environment without assistance from outside counsel.
  • Responsible to work in a collaborative manner to ensure that all functions of the Credit department are covered, providing backup for other team members as required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Responsible to work and interact effectively with all internal customers/coworkers throughout the organization.
  • Assist with building and maintaining department morale and cohesiveness.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities, attention to detail, willingness to share ideas for improved efficiencies/processes.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/LICENSES REQUIRED:

The technical skills, personal competencies and licenses required in this position include the following:

  • Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three to five years of collections experience.
  • Willingness to establish a membership with National Association of Credit Management (NACM)
  • Proficient understanding of MSOffice Suite including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports, memos, spreadsheets and correspondence as required.
  • Proficient skills with the use of all business machines (phone, fax, scanner, 10 key, etc.).
  • Highly organized, with a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
  • Selfmotivated, able to prioritize personal workload, requiring mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to train new employees in collection procedures as required.
