Production Supervisor for our Eastern Canada facility.


Position Overview:


As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in insulation and yard operations.

The Production Supervisor will be required to read work orders, determine the appropriate type of product for production, and the corresponding production schedule.

They will be responsible for the supervision of on-site personnel and enforcement of all required safety and work regulation policies.

This individual will also instruct workers on proper machine set-up to meet the necessary production requirements, inspect materials during and after processing to determine that required specifications are met and trouble shoot/correct process or machinery concerns.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in insulation operations within PPC facility.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading pipe and in using and maintaining machines and equipment in yard.
  • Read work orders to determine type product to be produced and production schedule.
  • Instruct workers on machine setup to meet production requirements.
  • Coordinate and Inspect materials during and after processing to determine that production meets desired specifications.
  • Direct workers to adjust machine setup or processing procedure to correct defects.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
  • Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a technical field an asset.
  • Plural component spray equipment experience
  • Five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Knowledge of local and federal regulations and ordinances
  • Strong customer service orientation
