The Receptionist is responsible for a range of general administrative duties and errands, and creating an outstanding customer service experience in all interactions, both internal and external.

This position is based at our Head Office in North Vancouver.

We offer competitive annual salaries, ranging from $40,000 to $50,000, 3 weeks paid vacation, and extended health and dental benefits.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receiving and directing all incoming telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner;
  • Greeting head office visitors;
  • Receiving and distributing all incoming physical mail and courier packages;
  • Scheduling outgoing courier packages, including monthly payables and shop inventory orders;
  • Completing various word processing and data entry duties using Excel;
  • Performing accounts payable duties, such as entering invoices in accounting system for payment;
  • Processing midmonth and monthend payments, as well as any miscellaneous payments;
  • Maintaining office supply inventory and placing orders as required;
  • Handling copying, faxing, and filing work;
  • Maintaining office equipment;
  • Keeping the reception area tidy;
  • Arranging lunches/snacks for meetings and office events as requested;
  • Running general office errands (i.e. lunch orders/picking up packages for executive team);
  • Assisting with projects as required by other departments;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

years' administrative/receptionist experience;

  • Professional, calm and warm demeanor;
  • Experience operating a multiline phone system;
  • Strong work ethic and a cando attitude;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Customer service driven with the ability to anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of customers, vendors, and staff;
  • Organized and detail oriented;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills;
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and confidentiality;
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work with little supervision;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs;
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver's license;
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions;
  • Automotive industry knowledge an asset.
