Who We Are

Job Summary:

As a member of the J+A Team, you will be responsible for a designated job site contracted to J+A for service.

You will execute the duties and ensure maintenance of the facility is being fulfilled as per the client contract while adhering to health and safety practices with utmost professionalism striving to exceed client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:
Functioning as a core member of the operations team and in support to the Manager and/or Supervisor the Day Porter will:

  • Stock up cart with paper supplies, cleaning products and equipment
  • Monitor washrooms to ensure they are clean and well stocked with supplies
  • Dust and spot wipe all elevators, escalators, stairs, benches and bins
  • Vacuum carpets in the entrance ways
  • Dust mop office hard floor surfaces; vacuum carpeted areas
  • Wet mop any spills or high traffic areas (as requested)
  • Dust picture frames, displays and bookcases (as requested )
  • Record all spills and hazards found throughout the property on the Risk Management Log books provided and in the J+A company app
  • Empty garbage and recycle bins
  • Patrol all main areas, kitchens, lobbies, stairwells, elevators & escalators and clean as required
  • Respond to building requests and emergencies as they arise
  • Perform daily work verification checklist in company app
  • Other reasonable requests from management

Job Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience in a Cleaning/ Service related field
  • Fluency in both written and oral English a must. Bilingual skills are a bonus.
  • Familiarity with cleaning/battery operated equipment
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills/ must adhere to tight deadlines/respond quickly to situations/be able to effectively execute solutions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
