JOB Title Project Management - Project Manager

**JOB Description:
- **
Under the supervision of Project Leader for Information Systems, the IT Project Manager will:
  • Project Plan: o Manage (create, review, modify) Cow project plan based on vendor work packages; maintain a continuous overview of slack, critical path and raise risk flags appropriately. o Maintain Project WBS in collaboration with vendor and track completion of the same. o Identify Cow Project deliverables based on project needs.
  • Risk: o Review risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. o Manage (build, review, modify) project risk and associated register, derive risks from communication with vendor implementation team, status meetings, and analysis of vendor project plan.
  • Coordination and communication o Create collaboration team site on SharePoint with project RACI. o Setup and drive team meetings with agendas and minutes. o Provide periodic project status to STC including risks/mitigations, short/long term project outlook, etc. o Maintain stakeholder profile, build consensus on decisions and record the same. o Identify, document, and manage conflict (task, goal, personality) proactively.
  • Monitoring and control o Maintain communication with vendor and stakeholder to ensure that projects are on track, given the goals established in the project plan, and work with vendor to adjust, as necessary. o Maintain quantitative track of project phase and completion percentage o Manage (build, review, modify) daily Issue tracker.
  • Quality: o Review regulatory (FIPPA/PHIA/data protection) requirements and build necessary quality plan and validation plan if needed. o Monitor & control quality deliverables, protocol, defects, and deliverables for different test/qualification stages like unit test, integration test, UAT, and post implementation review (one month from golive). o Manage engagements and followups with testing resources in business units to ensure testing and UAT requirements are met; i.e., times are booked and testing is planned and scheduled. o Manage vendor delivery vs documented requirements
  • Transition and

Organizational Change Management:

o Manage Transition to Operations and go-live in collaboration with implementation partner (solution vendor) o Coordinate with business area and prepare for, manage and reinforce change to business process with new system implementation.

o Manage OCM track and associated OCM resource o Manage end user and administrator trainings and oversee creation of documentation deliverables (test cases, system administration procedure etc.) and project knowledge as appropriate.

o Setup system governance for steady state operations and handover documentation based on StC and maintenance organization needs.

  • Close Out: o Manage project close out with associated documentation deliverables; lessons learnt based on CoW template.

Experience Mandatory:


  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, with attainment of a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Project experience (2 projects each of at least six months duration) implementing enterprise commercial[1]offtheshelf (COTS) SaaS solutions as a Project Manager in medium to large companies users) or in the public sector.
  • Project experience (2 projects each of at least six months duration) establishing postimplementation transition to operations (with corresponding deliverables). Desirable
  • Project experience (1 project of at least 6 months duration) implementing a transit and transportation solutions IT project in PM/BA/consultant capacity would be a definitive asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in change management, with experience in the ADKAR framework is an asset. Skills and Depth
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, especially in stakeholder communication and the creation of project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage risk from technical and contractual documentation, project plan, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder and time management skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of using Office 365 suite, specifically MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint online to maintain project documents and deliverables.
