  • Ensure safe, efficient accessible transportation is provided in accordance with Calgary Transit Access service plans, policies and procedures.
Manage day-to-day service delivery within budget.
Manage on-time performance and deliver a high level of customer service.
Schedule same-day trip requests in a timely manner, in accordance with budget and policies.

Respond to occurrences, delays, service disruptions and emergencies on day-of service, in accordance with Calgary Transit Access policies and procedures.

Supervise Passenger Agents during evenings and weekend shifts.
Provide instruction to the operators of contracted service providers.
Monitor and ensure a high quality service is delivered to Calgary Transit Access customers.

Qualifications
***A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED) with at least 3 years of experience in an environment that works with people with disabilities.
Intermediate Mocrosoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and knowledge of Calgary's transportation options.

A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent), with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending OR; a valid Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending.

Experience with Giro HOD is considered an asset.
Must be able to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit
High level of customer service, strong communication and problem solving skills is essential for success in tis role.
Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks while maintaining your composure.

Pre-employment RequirementsA security clearance will be conducted.
Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
